Characteristics: Montgomery palms can reach 50’ in height and are rapid growers. They are most often used as single, double, or triple trunk palms. They always give a tropical flavor to the gardens they are found in.
Trimming: Montgomery palms are easy to care for as they are self cleaning palms. As each frond dies, it will turn brown and fall off on its own. No formal trimming of the crown is needed. Seed pods need removal 2 times per year.
Fertilization: Fertilize in March, June and October with a well-balanced, granular Palm fertilizer.
